The Rosie Package, $925

Our Rosie package comes with everything you need to become a backyard chicken farmer (including coop and 3 hens), and can be delivered and installed in about 1 ½ hours.  We also provide products, services and packages customized to your specific needs (contact us for more details) and on an a la carte basis.  We currently serve the five boroughs of NYC, but can sometimes work in other locations as well. Scroll down to the end of this page and determine whether buying now or our rent to own option is best for you.

The Rosie package includes:

3 Young hens
We provide an assortment of 3 birds from friendly breeds known for good egg production.  Your hens are typically 12 to 16 weeks old when delivered to you – about 2 to 4 weeks prior to beginning to lay.  Once they begin, each bird will lay 5 or 6 eggs per week for the laying season (over half the year).  All our birds have been raised in a humane and safe environment on a local family farm.

Coop with attached run in your choice of 3 colors (Barnyard Red, Forest Green or Teal)
Our coops are hand-made in Brooklyn and come with 21 sf of run with a lockable gate and two interior levels of 6 sf each, a perch and nesting box.  They are made to protect your hens through the full spectrum of New York City weather, and are thoughtfully built to provide maximum space for the birds and easy access to you.

Chicken 101
Once you get going, you'll be amazed at how easy and fun it is to raise your own chickens, but there are a few things you need to know.  Our Chicken 101 training is designed to provide you with all the basic information you will need to tend your flock with confidence, including feeding, coop maintenance, egg production and basic chicken health. We provide it while installing your coop, and it typically lasts for about 30 minutes.

A 2 month supply of "grower" feed, oyster shell, wood shavings and hay
We provide a 50 lb bag of grower feed with every Rosie - enough for 3 birds for 2 months. We also provide wood shavings for the litter box and hay to insulate the coop, surface the run, and, most importantly, for them to use for nests. Don't worry when you run out - you can also sign up for our subscription service and get more feed, hay and shavings delivered to your door all year.

Victory Chicken Support
When you get the Rosie we will remain available to you for ongoing free email consultation for whenever you have questions about your flock. Contact us with any questions - our chicken experts want you and your hens to be happy!
